Tommy Guerrero - Soul Food Taqueria (Vinyl)Regular price 450,00 kr
Soul Food Taqueria continued Tommy Guerrero's blissful guitar soul but represented a step forward with its polished production and greater complexity of instrumentation. Denied the promotion it deserved upon release, it flew under the radar. It is now the most wanted record of Guerrero's wondrous back catalogue.
This fresh limited edition has been remastered, cut on to heavyweight double vinyl and is presented in a deluxe gatefold jacket.
Soul Food Taqueria consists mostly of downtempo, instrumental and sample-based chill-out music. It also incorporates influences from Latin soul, R&B Trip hop, and Lo-fi music. Its cover artwork, depicting a taqueria that also serves soul food, was designed by artist Stephen Powers.

While it did not appear on any record charts, Soul Food Taqueria was well received by most critics, who applauded its diverse style and production quality while deeming it an improvement from Guerrero's previous record, A Little Bit of Somethin' (2000).
